鬼道アーティスト

1988年福岡生まれ。世界の芸術教育を牽引するロンドンCSMの教授をもってして「あなたは自由にやりなさい」と放たれ、学位を得た天才肌。無意識下において、ただ降りてきたものを躊躇なく表現するプリミティブ・アーティスト。製作中は意識が希薄となることもあり、自らの作品を超自然的な産物と捉え、完成後に作品のストーリーを創作していくなど、CSM卒業生ながらアウトサイダーとの境目は曖昧である。原始宗教「鬼道」の超自然観を現代へ甦らせ、超越的存在へのアクセスによって生み出される独特のトークやパフォーマンスは、聴衆をある種の境地へと誘う。こうした原点回帰の動きは現代、ファンションや建築を含め、多くの層に支持されつつあり、世界的な大きな流れとなっている。MICO MAIはその中心で旋風を巻き起こすことが期待される新進気鋭のアーティストである。近年は母MASAYOの影響により著名寺院で舞や作品を奉納している。

Born in Fukuoka in 1988. Artist, designer, performer, meditation master, cultural activist. Spend your childhood in a seaside town to develop your sensibility. From the age of 15, she lives in the mountains of an isolated island in Canada, surrounded by the magnificent nature with the locals. After staying in the United States. She graduated performance design course in Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She decided to return to Japan after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, she started activities in Japan in a wide range of genres such as performance painting. She travels through the great natures of the world, discovering herself in meditation, creating her original works, and performing with her fellow. It opens the heart of the viewer and fills it with love.
